We will again have side matches for Friday May 17th.  Please remember that this is a black powder shoot - that goes for the side matches as well.  There will be a few differences this year:

 1. There will be a plaque awarded for the overall category winner

2. There will only be 1 record time(score) posted for each event per cowboy or cowgirl.  The contestant may have a warm-up or shots as identified by the category marshall (official scorer).  The contestant must declare that the attempt is for record before shooting.  The timer should not be used for warm-up shots

3. The side matches will run from 10AM until 2PM.  The category marshalls will have from 9AM - 10AM to set-up and from 2PM to 3PM to tear down

Based on my notes at the BPS meeting on Feb 10th, the categories that we have so far are:

Pike Marshall & Shanghi Mike - Long range rifle @ the rifle range with the following iron sight categories

. Single shot rifle caliber

. Lever action rifle caliber

. Lever action pistol caliber

Scope categories

. Single shot rifle caliber

. Lever action rifle caliber

Wrangler Annie - Action pistol using the falling plate Texas Star target

Eddie Rebel - Bullseye (accuracy) pistol shooting

Pico - Pocket Pistol & Derringer 

We are open to other events and I would like to have some back-up volunteers to assist the folks mentioned so that they can try their hand at all of the side matches.
